Now known as the Astor, the Washington Building was a rehabilitation and change of occupancy of a 1925 18-story building in downtown Tacoma. D.M. Kelly handled the plumbing for the conversion, which turned the historic structure into 156 apartments with amenity spaces and first-floor retail. Re-plumbing an 18-story building from the 1920s is detailed work, running new supply and drainage through the units while keeping the building's historic character intact.
